• Labor Rate Increases United States Bureau of Labor reports wages for home construction, remodeling and maintenance professionals have changed modestly in the past 6 months, with averages across skilled trades increasing between 1% - 2%.
• Material Unit Cost Changes Updates in this release include higher material unit prices for concrete, insulation, and electrical materials seeing increases of 7% - 9%. Disposal fees have increased by nearly 13%. Extreme volatility of lumber and sheet goods pricing continues - in the past two quarters prices have fallen 12% - 27%.
