Labor Rate and Material Cost Updates

The cost estimating calculators at Homewyse.com now reflect the following changes:

• Labor Rate Change United States Bureau of Labor reports wages for home construction,remodeling and maintenance professionals have continued to increase overall the past 6 months, but the level of change is slowing. The increases for basic labor were up slightly. Increases for skilled trades averaged 1%.
• Material Unit Cost Changes Overall, material prices are showing continued stabilization. The only recent notable exception is lumber and sheet goods have fallen by 3% - 6%.
