arc-fault circuit interrupter
An arc-fault circuit interrupter is an electrical device designed to prevent fires commonly caused by electrical systems. The arc-fault circuit interrupter automatically shuts off electrical power to a circuit if arc fault conditions are detected in the operation of the circuit.
