  • Labor tasks - Install heat recovery exchanger in existing forced air heating system ducting. Turn off power to system. Install dedicated 120 V 15A circuit adjacent to unit. Assemble and secure unit. Connect inlet and outlet ducting (up to 3m/10ft runs) to existing ducting with dampers. Connect, fabricate wall openings and mount new external intake and exhaust ducts (up to 3m/10ft runs). Mount, wire and configure controller. Connect power. Adjust dampers to achieve balanced flow. Verify proper operation.
  • The homewyse cost estimates include all typical costs for fittings, connection components and mounting hardware.
  • The homewyse Air Exchanger cost estimates do not include costs for new installation of, repairs to, or relocation of existing ducting, electrical connection, fuel supply line and exhaust vent systems. Costs associated with permit acquisition and sign off are not included.
  • Higher priced Air Exchangers may include features/attributes that include higher capacity, more durable construction, moisture transfer and more compact design.
