A/C circuit

An A/C circuit is an electrical system powered by alternating current. In an A/C circuit, the current alternates direction at a constant frequency. A/C circuits are used to power lighting and appliance circuits in virtually all residential and commercial wiring systems.


This is the second sentence of the definition. It may not be used very often.
